  • Mens fashion has always been about class. What we consider manly today is based on what the poor wore. Trousers, shirts, flat caps. To be rich and foppish was seen as decadent. Real men worked with their hands. Once film and photography was invented the poor could be seen more easily and this lead to the idea that real men wore workers clothes. Toxic masculinity is intrinsically linked to the rich poor dynamic and is used as a form of suppression from the rich

  • Very cute and well put-together - but only the wealthy could indulge in such extravagance - most laboring men and those in serious professions, law & medicine wore drab-colored, monotonic clothes to reflect the seriousness of their work. Harry Styles doesn't do 'serious work'.

  • A "real man" lets mom dictate his clothes for the first 2-3 decades, then his own wife does it. Real men don't need fashion either - they just need replacement goods. But isn't it much more "manly" to oppose it? As mentioned in this video: all those clothes and items what are today "typical female" were originally worn by men. You can't talk about equality and leave out fashion. Over the centuries women have hijacked fashion in order to appear more masculine. It is time for men to get their share back and also confidently say "Yes, today I will wear a skirt because I can!". Or "I don't wear a penguin suit for the gala dinner, but the most colorful and dazzling dress of the evening!". THAT would by more manly in my eyes. And this is the reason why I wear high heels - even at work. Because "I can!". There is no reasonable reason not to do it. www.men-on-high-heels.de

  • Ah, all these first world problems. The very structure of civilization is being torn apart because we have too much time to argue about social norms. We need a great global catastrophe to bring back some perspective. And by great catastrophe, I mean something on the scale of WWII or bigger. Not that I wish that, but it would make everyone realize how petty most of this stuff is.

  • Some of this paintings exaggerated the clothing of people for aesthetic purposes. For example take a look at those pictures with the mens ass all marked in those tigth pants. Pleaseee not even most modern men who go to the gym get an ass that will look like that in football pants. And i doubt men weere working out as hard as modern men today or had the top notch equipment and diets we have today. Now, lets suppose they did all look like similar to those funny looking caricature men in those pictures. I bet you those men who lived in rougher harder times had more core character then all this weak men today. And they also had purpose. Those men who got to make it to the portraits most likely were well diciplined and on their purpose. Bums on the other hand were hiding in a hut with the rats. On the other hand in the modern world you can see and shoot millions of pictures of lazy bums with a few finger moves. So to look at this pictures without conxtext and substance on human nature and background, i dont see how we can make a claim that supports the point of the purpose of this video. There is simply alot to consider and alot of explinations on the style they used that could give you a false illusion if one starts to project a simple idea like this onto past life.

    • @Ramzes Motoa Alright bro thanks for the conversation I appreciate it

      MarcusMarcus4 օր առաջ
    • @Marcus yeah i dont disagree with you either. I think we fail to understand each other cause i was strictly talking to those such people like The modern men feminists and feminists females who tell men they can wear women clothing strictly grabbed from the womens area and still be a a men. Yeah rigth, that is basically emasculation and then they go into videos like this trying to convince men and even tricking them into disposing of their "toxic masculinity". I can see the trick there, emasculation of men. But even then i still take the time to explain why their tricks are wrong. So as you can see i wasn't really going after the clothing so much but after the trick being played out behind it. And yes i know that men like Tim kennedy super tough and smart guys could put a dress on and that wouldnt make them loose any masculinity power, but if those guys did it occasionally and they actaully liked it especially if they like that cause they believed the feminists then that would point out to a messed up brain. But at the end i could keep on saying this over and over and at the end people will belive what they wanna believe and i also know how things are out there so I know that what i say wouldnt be welcomed by most people out there rigth now. I would be considered an anti feminist mysognist toxic male and discarded. Yeah that rigth i know who has the power out there, so that i dont go stupid and put my head up when the barrage of bullets still hasnt finished hitting my wall. And i think you and i would understand each other better in real life.

      Ramzes MotoaRamzes Motoa4 օր առաջ
    • @Ramzes Motoa Well then I don't necessarily disagree I think you are misunderstanding what I'm saying I understand back in those days these were masculine clothing and I'm not saying these men wearing those means that they were feminine or trying to express their femininity. But that the clothing that they were wearing would be considered feminine in our society right now. My argument is that it doesn't make any sense to say bring manly men back because the men back then wore clothes that would be considered feminine nowadays and because if a masculine man wears a dress I don't think that takes away from his masculinity. For example you described yourself as a masculine man If you walked outside with a dress and a skirt on I wouldn't say you have taken away from your masculinity or that you are less manly as a whole but that you are just showing off your femininity. TLDR: Someone who is traditionally masculine doing something feminine doesn't take away from their masculinity.

      MarcusMarcus4 օր առաջ
    • @Marcus Yes. And also because they just didn't have the machinery and elements we have rigth now to make clothing on different levels of niceness. And also you remember that i said before that we can't really measure femeninity and masculinity beauty in clothes. But here is something to consider. If you notice something even though men migth have all those thigth clothes or skirts. The clothes itself dont do any favor in marking any curves like waist or hips. Or for example the high hills served a utility purpose on men but on they also move your legs in such a way that it makes the hips more pronounced. And it is a femine thing of women to have curves to attract mates so subconsciously they want to wear heels and compete with other women in the beauty domain to get attention. That is basically it. We humans have instincts we can't even comprehend. And it is harder to comprehend cause the feminists have been lying to young people for deacdes now. And then to make matters worse adults hold on to those lies and rationalize them into rationality to the point where we end up so confused we figth each other. So at the end this whole gender studies thing has so much to tell us about us, but it has been high jacked by a group of people with bad agendas. And remember we still dont know everything but we should do our best to continue to grow our knowledge of the universe.

  • I disagree with almost everything in this video. Being a manly man has zero to with his outward appearance, and everything to do with his character and the way he interacts with other people. I would conform (for the most part) with this manly man image portrayed, doesn't make a transvestite less of a man than me by any stretch of the imagination. Eddie Izzard has run more marathons for charity, than times I've ran ever. That was about the person Eddie is, and frankly shows me up as less of a manly man. Does the fact Eddie wears make-up and heels (generally, not while running marathons!) have any bearing on that? Nope.

  • I want to ask you something: What do you think happens after you die? Supposing there are such places known as Heaven and Hell, where do you think you would go? Do you want to know the truth, or do you want to continue living in the sweet lie you may be living in? Remember, no matter how hurtful the truth may be, it will always point you in the right direction. On the other hand, no matter how sweet, a lie will always keep you from going in the right direction. We are all guilty of sin. What is a sin? A sin is a transgression against God’s Will and His Law. God created the Universe and everything in it, and when Adam and Eve committed the first sin, their souls were polluted with sin and selfishness, and as we are their descendants, we have inherited the same polluted souls. We will all eventually face God and be judged. God is good, and because of that, He will judge us according to His perfect, moral standard: His Law. If you just take a look at the Ten Commandments, you’ve probably broken every commandment in one way or another, and I have too. God is holy and righteous, and because you have sinned, He has to punish you, and the punishment for sin is death, both physically and spiritually...aka, going to Hell. However, God is also merciful, loving, and kind, and He loves all of us, so He provided us with one way to escape that punishment and receive forgiveness: His Son, Jesus Christ. Being fully God and fully man, He was without sin and died on the cross for the sins of the entire world, not because He deserved it, but so all of us could receive forgiveness. We don’t deserve forgiveness, but God is willing to forgive us because of what Jesus did and because He loves us. Jesus Christ came to be our Savior and your Savior. He died on the cross for your sins, for your transgressions, suffered for your iniquities, so that God would have mercy and forgive you because God loves you. After three days, Jesus rose again, defeating sin and death. Here’s a really popular verse: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). Everyone who trusts in Him has eternal life. Nothing you do will ever earn you eternal life, but because of everything that Jesus did, now we can receive that gift. Repent from your sins (turn away from them and turn to God), believe in Jesus Christ and everything He has done for you, me, and everyone, and accept Him as your one and only Lord and Savior. As long as you are still breathing, as long as your heart is beating, you can accept this amazing gift, so please, don’t wait until you can’t anymore. He can save you, and if you cry out to Him and accept Him as your Lord and Savior, He will save you. Accept it today, right now, and start living your life for Him, because no matter how hard it may be, it is always worth the fight. Please, do it now! lifein6words.com/the-g-o-s-p-e-l-message-explained/ oceanhero.today/web?q=define+sin&Extension:omnibox&Chrome Inspired by a comment by Farison Adelina on amwine.info/town/apabhKR10MyvsrQ/video.html

For example: Katherine The Great show on HBO (its probably not its name, I forgot it) is amazing with the clothing and all. My favorite moment in the show without a doubt is the one where there is a party for all the russian nobles and they swap with clothing. Men wear dresses and women wear trousers and shirts, its just so beautiful. Its like it was supposed to be that way always. So I don't understand why people are so amd about this?? Its not your choice what people wear.

It's just, he doesn't come off as genuine, it seemed as if he was doing it because he knew people with big audiences would talk about him. Nothing wrong with him, or you, just felt like it needed to be said because though it is a big step I don't think it was made for the right reasons. This whole... Reputation, I suppose, that Harry Styles has, doesn't appear to be very organic. At least in my opinion!

Now, around 300 years ago was the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. So, loose clothing, and so on, was dangerous in the machine shop. The men also worked much longer hours, thus the restrictions becoming part of culture. But, one mustn't live in the past. (The not wearing skirts was apparently also to do with horse riding.) • toxic masculinity doesn't mean that masculinity is toxic. toxic masculinity means the toxic ideal of masculinity and pushing a harmful narratives towards it is toxic masculinity like example "boys don't dry"- men has a 3x higher suicide rates, "boys shouldn't be gentle and soft"- most men are often aggressive when they cant deal with emotions around and that's why most women are scared of them, even tho most masculinity isnt toxic, it's still push a harmful stereotypes towards men and it's damaging to young boys .
